If you were seeing Germany again for the first time and only had three days in the country, what are your "must sees"?

Is this a trick question?
What I do today is important because I am paying a day of my life for it. What I accomplish must be worthwhile because the price is high.

Alright fuckheads, I'll re-phrase.
I'll probably have about 3 days in Germany in the spring, what would you recommend I see and do? |

Where in Germany are you flying in?

Most likely taking a train over from France, so there's plenty of flexibility in there. Will most likely end the trip in either Austria or Switzerland.

So you are going to be down in the southern end of Germany. In that case you want to spend time in Munich. Great beers. Go to the HofbrÀuhaus and the
English Garden.

Sir Benjamin Thompson, the man partially responsible for Munich's English Garden, was a loyalist who abandoned his wife at the beginning of the
revolutionary war. A Massachusetts man, he gave the red-coats all kinds of information on the American rebels movement, before fleeing to Europe as the tide
turned against the British.
I, for one, wouldn't go to his stoooopid garden. It's un-american. |
