Any ideas why the FM signal won't work now? What can I do? I have this receiver hooked up to speaker system that runs through the entire house.

I have an AM/FM Receiver (Sony) that is probably 7 or 8 years old now. It has worked fine for the duration, CD player hooked up through it, DVD, etc. That is
until the day analog tv went bye bye. I can not get an FM signal now at all. Nothing on the receiver has changed. CD/DVD sound great. There is a little
wire antenna that has always worked. It is hooked into a coaxial type plug and it says FM 75Q Antenna on the receiver next to the plug.

That sucks -and I'm guessing you need it for a shindig today. I couldn't tell you if my receiver gets FM anymore. It's been a long, long time
since there was a radio station worth listening to.

We have some friends stopping by on their way back from Florida to Ohio. It would be nice to have it working, but I can always throw in the best of the
80's cd's on random.
Seriously though, it is pissing me off, has to be some type of antenna issue. Right? My wife likes turning on some talk show in the morning while she takes 2 hours getting ready. It is nice to turn on while we sit outside at night also. |

If you have cable TV try going directly out of or splitting one of your coax outlets and run a coax directly into the coax on the radio. This will give you an
idea as to whether the input on the radio is now shot (if it does not work) or if the antenna is shot (if it works). Cable TV coax acts as a giant FM antenna.
If this doesn't work either way, its time to get Sirius.

They still play George Michael on the radio?

Trust me when I say Time Warner is 1000x better than Comcast.

Don't taunt him, he would much rather have Cox than TWC.

Great programming, but the lower end units (which is most of them) had a proprietary output connection so you had to buy one of their kits - like another $40. It wasn't a big cost, but just on principle I refused. He probably has a similar unit. |

Did your neighbors recently open up a motorcycle repair shop? How about nuclear reactors? Any of those go on line recently near you?

I hadn't considered nuclear reactors. I also checked and Sony did make receivers 7-8 years ago with both a FM1 and FM2 preset. I'm sure one of
his kids accidentally hit the button and he's scrolling through unset presets.
