Go ahead n diss her all u folks want. I didn't know who Obama or McCain or Biden's Background, but I was familiar with the Clintons n Giuliani, that's bout it.
I woke up this morning, shocked but pleasantly surprised. Excited and refreshing. She is a great looking, a hockey mom, as I looked up the good and bad about her, the more I started to like her. She is a Journalist major, point guard in basketball, Miss Congeniality and 2nd runner up for Miss Alaska, a working Mom, who by the way, just gave birth in April to a downs syndrome baby (she chose to keep him, even though she knew she would have a disabled boy), her son is going to Iraq, she is interested in global warming, saving the environment, NRA supporter, ethics committee, first woman Governor of Alaska, sold a govnmnt jet on ebay n made a profit, she has "executive experience", handles a fiscal budget for her state, health care, education, gave partnership rights, so gay couples can go and visit their partner, even if they R not married, in the hospital, in addition she was Mayor for her town.
She has travelled to Iraq to visit the troops. She has 5 kids. I am looking forward to knowing more about her, I am tired of hearing about what an insult she is to Hillary supporters, many Hillary supporters who take the time to know what she has done for such a short time, will see there is more to her than just a young, pretty housewife turned politician. The media is already painting her as just a "babe" for her striking good looks, and many men and women will be jealous of her accomplishments. I for one, admire strong women, especially good looking ones, who have brains, many take it for granted, they take one look and like to label her and automatically think that is all she's good for. I beg to differ. I am wishing her the best of luck. Congrats, don't let the stupid media paint Governor Palin into just a pretty face with lack of experience. She's not running for President btw, and isn't that what they said about Obama? He has lack of experience but is clean, good looking, articulate, but lacks experience?
I'm afraid that too many of you are still in the dark ages of wanting to keep women in their place. Sorry time to let women join in the fun. btw, I need to see how the debates R going to come out. I don't vote by party, or gender, but by the strenght of character n conviction. So far it's been rather dull, this is now interesting.
I pray that she can handle it all. I know that many are going to try and tear her down, just like they tried with Hillary and Ferraro b/c of their gender. Time for us to embrace America and it's democracy. Only in America can we be allowed to live that dream. God Bless Us All.
