It's relevant the same way the right made it relevant that Clinton smoked pot, but then looked the other way when GWB was a known drunk and coke head. Hypocrites? And I don't want somebody in office that supports creationism. That's how it's relevant.

Buckhead Posts: 2388 (08/29/08 3:01 PM) Buckhead Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts Report Post	What I like reading is how she went up against the GOP, stopped the bridge to nowhere, sold the executive jet, and in general put the people's needs ahead of the party or lobbies. McCain with his attempt a finance reform has done the same. For the middle it pulls me to that side, even though I was already against the show from Obama. My wife may actually register at our not so new address now too. (We didn't move far, but my old neighbor is a volunteer and knows we changed districts) I think this helps more than hurts, and if they attack a lack of experience, it will shine back on Obama as well. I also think the big money at the DNC, the arrested newsman, and the general opulence of the event is not going to sit well with the middle. I haven't seen the bump that Obama got from the convention, but based on message boards no one is talking about his speech.

Gangster? My point wasn't that she smokes pot or has smoked it before, because I really don't give a damn. I think pot should be legal anyway. My point was that the right won't make a big deal out of here smoking pot like they did with Clinton smoking pot, and then looking the other way when GWB was a known coke head and drunk. And I would disagree that she has more experience than Obama. One bio I read stated that 4 years ago, she -- the small town girl from Alaska -- was dazzled by the lights of NYC. (Get out of Alaska much?) In any case, IMO she is a most peculiar choice. I expected a dark horse, but not a housewife. She's got an interesting bio and track record, but what the hell would she say to Putin and Medvedev, or Ahmadinejad, or Hu Jintao?

Hussein Obama, and Biden. This is refreshing in that since Reagan, I cannot find one person on any ticket that wasn't "like me." Her family comes out today and they look like you and me, not the Washington crowd. She speaks of representing me, not big government and special interests, something I've heard of from the left for 40 years without any action. And, her record, which towers over Obama's, proves that she represents the every day American. From the way the left is reacting to her, this ticket sinks the Obama-Biden ticket - she's going to be around a long, long time. I agree in a sense, but many Hillary supporters have been fans of hers for almost 16 years. My mom, in particular loves Hillary and it's not b/c of her XX chromosomal distribution. It's going to take a little more than a woman to get them to let go of Hillary, much in the same way it was going to take more than just a Democrat for Obama to pry their vote away from her...many don't understand it but there is a gravitas for some people with Hillary that's VERY strong.
